The following article provides you information on how to Activate any edition of Windows 10 using a product license key.

 

 

This video  shows you the how to activate your edition of Windows 10 using your product license key. The following editions are available: Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Professional, Windows 10 Professional Workstation, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, Windows 10 Education, Windows 10 S, Windows 10 Home N, Windows 10 Professional N Editions. This also works for Microsoft Server 2019 if you are activating using the desktop mode within Windows Server.

To activate your Windows 10, Simply ensure you are connected to the internet and perform the following:

  • Click on the Windows Logo on the bottom left corner.
  • Click on settings (gears icon)
  • Click on Update & Security
  • Click on Activation on the left
  • On this window at the top you can see your Windows Edition and Version. Underneath you can click to activate if unactivated or change key.
  • Click On Change Key. Now enter your license key (the dashes automatically are entered)
  • Then Click Next to activate.
  • Wait for the Activation to proceed. You are now Activated.
  • Congratulations on activating your Windows 10. You can now fully utilise the features including performing Windows Update.
  • Your license is LIFETIME. If you choose to reinstall in future - you wont need to re-enter the key. You can simply do so by typing in the reset box next to the windows icon. Then reset this pc. Choose to save your contents or start fresh. 
  • You can reinstall using installation media - should you change the hard drive or upgrade to a solid state hard drive - the key is automatically embedded into the bios upon activation.

Microsoft account required for some features. Watching DVDs requires separate playback software

In general if your PC is running purchased in the last 5 years - then you are fully compatible. 20 GB hard drive space is needed but we recommend 40 GB as a minimum.
