Windows Server

Windows Server is a range of operating systems created by Microsoft for use on a server. Windows server is mainly used in commercial environments and are more powerful versions of their desktop operating system counterparts designed to efficiently handle corporate networking, internet/intranet hosting, database, ESM (endpoint security manage) and similar features and functions.
Windows server maintains the commonly seen taskbar and desktop experience found within windows – this time for business servers but adds many more enterprise related features.

Windows desktop operating systems such as Windows 10 and the Windows Server 2019 software versions share the same code base – as such they both perform similar tasks with many common functions available on both. Windows Server has many Enterprise functions due to it’s Enterprise Management Software including but not limited to DHCP, Active Directories, File and Storage, Print Services as well as Windows Update Services. There are increased levels of security, less useless apps including Cortana, therefor having a much more enterprise aimed security and feature level – cutting out the social media jargon making it more feature rich for enterprises that need the functions to perform with the increased security required.
This server software also has fewer hardware limitations – this allows it to be flexible and installed on many different server architectures.
